 Licasteria - I Hate Grass
« Thread Started on Jan 7, 2009, 10:33pm »

And here is the second part to the story of the journey Licasteria has taken. For the first part, assuming you haven't read it, please go to the Veldon forest.

Licasteria was tired. Yes, a bit of a simple fact, but it was true. The elf had been running through the seemingly endless plain for two days strait, not counting the one time she had stopped by a shallow pool for a drink. She was sweaty because there wasn't a tree to shade her from the sun, her feet were sore from running on strange ground, her legs were scratched from the many blades of grass cutting into her skin, and her head hurt because she was confused, and lost. From this moment on, I hate grass, she told herself, and I'll never come back to these plains again. She didn't know what she was doing, or where she was going. Licasteria just wanted to find out what happened to the world she was born to. At this time, without any real landforms in sight, she just ran towards where the sun rose every morning. But she couldn't continue like this much longer; she had to rest, to eat, and to sleep. From exhaustion, she collapsed. Happy that her body was forcing her to finally lay down, she didn't try to get back up. She just lay there, waiting for dreams to engulf her thoughts, and for rest to refuel her bodice... She woke up a few hours later, and that was enough. Her muscles still felt a little stiff, but otherwise, her energy had been restored, and she felt a strange excitement and longing to complete her goal, and find out what she can. Now running with her inhuman speed, galloping through the field faster then a racehorse. She knew where she needed to go. She needed to get to Spirda, and that was where she was going to go.

[To be continued in Spirda.]
