And so, even though this is not where the whole story begins, this is where you will begin...
The female elf leaned against the trunk of a large pine on the border between the Veldon forest and the rest of the world. Her opts scanned the horizon before her; a field of green grass covered in dew, and a golden dawn sliding its way up the sky. However inviting you may have thought it might seem, Licasteria thought about turning back around, and fleeing into the dark, protective coverings that the forest provided. Of course, that would mean she would never see what had befallen the world in her absence; where these dark elves came from, and if there was a group of rebellions she could join. There, of course, probably was a rebellion. She had lived in the Veldon forest most of her life, the plants gave her a home, and food; she felt safe there. However you shouldn't call her ignorant of the world, she can usually figure things out that normal people can't, therefore making up for what she doesn't know. And so, even though the very thought of leaving sent shivers down her spine and made her stomach feel strange and queasy, she decided she would go. It's now or never, Licasteria told herself, and slowly walked away from the Veldon forest.
