Calista sighed heavily as she laid back on the smooth grass just above the shore of the lake, listening to the wonderful sound of the waterfall crashing into the lake below. She sighed peacefully. It had been so long, or so it seemed, that her and Aibori had been able to get away, to relax for awhile..
The sounds of the birds chirping around her, and the roar of the waterfall, coupled with the scents of the wildflowers around her were almost enough to put her to sleep. However, sleep had never come easy for her, not ever since she found Aibori.
"I love the water!" Aibori's voice in Calista's mind made her open her amethyst eye just in time to see her beautiful white dragon plummet into the water. That, of course, made a huge wave roar up and before Calista was even able to get completely to her feet, the wave crashed into her and knocked her flat on her ass once more. "Sorry..."
Calista spit out the water in her mouth, choking on it. "A- Aibori!" Her musical voice cried out, hoarse from the amount of water she coughed back up.
"I said I was sorry..." Aibori's voice sounded again in her mind, and Calista brushed her long, auburn hair from her face, grumbling as she tied it into a wet bun.
"I know, but you could have given me some warning!" She said, frowning as Aibori clambered out of the lake, shaking much like a dog would as she tried to get the excess water from her glimmering scales. She walked up the length of the beach and laid her head in the grass next to Calista, her large eyes sad. Calista reached out and hugged her dragon's snout, and kissed it. "I can't stay mad at you," She said, laughing when Aibori snorted and dust flew everywhere, sticking to her like grit. "Now I need a bath! And look at your beautiful white scales Aibori! They aren't even white anymore!" She smiled and shook her head. "Let's get cleaned up, huh?"
