Robin came to Nowlen Lake around lunch time, very hungry. The elf took off his shoes and dove into the lake, in search of some food that might satisfy him. The cold water splashed his his face and clothes as he swam deeper and deeper still, searching. Just as he was about to surface something moved and caught his eye. The curious young elf followed the movement, wondering what it could be.

Leod yawned, closing his eyes for a brief moment before sitting down on the warm gravel, clearly unaware of the elf diving into the water. Ziruth was out searching for fish under the water, even though he had wanted Leod to go with him. Yet he doubted that he could hold his breath as long as the red dragon could, for he rarely saw him come back up for air.
He let his upper body fall back wards, and then grunted as he hit the warm gravel, but the small rocks somehow did not hurt. Leod layed still as he let the warmth from the sun wash over him, which felt good on his wet skin and clothes. He was half-tempted to fall asleep, but he decided not to.

Robin followed the creature deeper into the lake untill he realized what it was. A turtle. The elf thought of how wonderful a turtle soup would be for lunch, and began to chase the poor beast around the lake, surfacing for air when he needed it. Robin was so focused on catching the turtle that he did not notice the boy on the shore's edge.

Ziruth carefully examined the bottom of the lake for fish, which would have been incredibly dark for a human's eyes. Completely surrounded in the clear blue water, he used his wings to speed himself to wards a rather large fish, large enough to feed him completely, but something wasn't right. Nonetheless, Ziruth opened his mouth as wide as he could and sped to wards the almost insanely large fish.

Robin almost had the turtle in his grasp when the sound of rushing water alarmed him. Poor Robin turned around to find himself face to face with yet another large monster. He was so scared that he leapt from the waters surface, his entire body jumping into the air. The elf yelled from fright and landed back into the water, on top of whatever was chasing him.

Ziruth groaned in slight confusion as the large fish turned out to look like a human. As he looked closer, he shortly recognized that the human was actually an elf, and was pretty frightened from his strive to eat him. He watched somewhat humorously as the elf leaped from the water like a fish, only to land on his back.
Reacting instantly, Ziruth rolled, dodging the elf quickly so he would not impale himself on one of the spikes on his back. Water slid off of his glossy red scales as he rose from the water with a powerful stroke from his wings, rising above the Nowlen lake only to see that Leod had not even noticed them, but was instead asleep on the bank.

Robin wasn't sure what had just happened, but he didn't have to remain curious long as he watched the mighty beast take to the skies. The elf stared, mouth agape, at what had just tried to eat him. Speaking of food, Robin was still hungry. He looked around for the turtle, but it was gone. He growled with impatience as he swam back to shore, planning on going hunting instead.

Ziruth circled the lake until the elf swam ashore near Leod, and then locked his wings and pulled into a steep dive. The rushing air blew what was left of the water off of him as he descended to wards the elf. With several beats of his wings, he broke his fall and landed on the gravel, which parted and rose between his paws due to his weight. He stepped in front of the elf, blocking his path to the forest.
"Sorry about that. I knew not what you were, and I was merely hungry." Ziruth said in a rather calm tone, he did not mean to startle the elf.

Robin fell over backwards from the sudden landing of the beast infront of him. "Yeah, it's fine." he said, a little startled. The elf scrambled to his feet, unsure if the dragon would allow him to pass into the forest.

"Why were you underwater?" Ziruth asked curiously, still blocking the elf's path. He was indeed curious why the elf was swimming so deep, and that he was now trying to go to the forest, yet that may be from sudden fear. Yet there was no reason to be afraid of him other than his appearance.

"I was hungry." said Robin, "Am hungry." he corrected himself. It wouldn't seem as if he was going to get into the forest any time soon, so he sat down on the bolder and looked out to the lake, at the same time keeping an eye on the dragon and waiting for him to move.

Ziruth's eyebrows raised slightly. "Perhaps I can catch you something to eat." He offered. "Since I usually catch more than I can eat, and since I startled you so. Which do you prefer to eat, fish, or deer?" Ziruth asked, he was hungry as well, but was not as picky about food as humans and elves usually were, mostly humans.

Robin wasn't sure if he should trust this dragon. Didn't they usually have poisonous fangs or something? It was clear the the elf knew nothing about them, but something told him the creature might be trustworthy. And Robin was hungry, so he looked up at the beast and said, "I don't care, either one would be fine. Thank you, sir."

"Sir?" Ziruth snorted a puff of smoke into the air at the humiliation. He had never been called that before. "As you wish, I will be back shortly." Ziruth's attention turning to Leod asleep on the ground nearby, completely unaware of his surroundings, just like all other humans when they were asleep. Ziruth swiped his tail across the ground, moving a wave of gravel in Leod's direction, almost covering him completely.
With a sudden gasp, Leod sat up straight, not knowing what had happened. In a very startled mood he glanced around quickly, but then calmed down when he saw Ziruth, but he still had not seen the elf. Leod will keep you company while I am gone. Ziruth said quickly, and then leaped into the air, followed by a powerful flap of his wings which sent him into flight, leaving Leod behind in a daze.

Robin laughed slightly at the sight of the boy almost being burried in gravel. "Hello." he said, picking up a rock and tossing it in the air out of boredom. The elf didn't want to say much, due to the fact that the boy had just woken up.
