War is Upon Us[/u]
The city was darkened. Black, gray, dull from the shadows of the dreary clouds. The stench of immolation poisoned the air. No commotion, brawls, or noises were heard, only the sound of a slight tapping sound.
The tapping became louder, and suddenly, a black draconium dragon stepped out from an alleyway. Her usual bright, gray eyes are now dulled with pain, misery, and confusion. During the past months, she had seen some of her close friends and family get killed.
One. By. One.[/b]
She wandered the empty streets aimlessly, looking at the humans thrown across the sides of the street. The dragon turned her head away, only focusing on what’s in front of her. She squinted her eyes, willing the oncoming tears away.
The dragon missed the business of the streets, the talking and chattering of fellow Dragon City residents, of those blue eyes that looked at her own with so much intense love, it blew her away. She halted, the scene before her causing the thoughts to be ripped from her mind.
There, in front of where she stood, was a large, black citadel. The gates had large spikes at the top, as if it were some prison where, if someone were to escape, they would be impaled by the sharp, demonic-like edges.
Summoning up her courage, and self-control, she strolled into the badly damaged gates. She gazed around, looking for any sign of life. But there was none. Giving up hope, she turned around to take a step back when-
Boom...
She stopped dead in her mid-step, her senses going on high-alert. The dragon looked around, but didn’t see anything.
Boom...
She grew frantic, panting from the adrenaline that was rushing through her veins.
Boom...
The sound had gotten louder, and she made a note to herself to not stay so long for the third noise of anything creepy. She sprinted out of the gates, and started making a long stretch to where she hid.
BOOM...
A large claw smashed into the street, causing pieces of the road to fly off. One hit the dragons face, which made her scream in pain, and halt. A trickle of blood streamed down the side of her sleek face as she looked up to the creature blocking her path.
The creature that blocked the dragon’s path was of great size, it’s face contorted in anger. It’s body was the color of mahogany, with gleaming, white teeth and large black claws and spikes aligned it’s back.
The black dragon faced the creature defiantly, all the memories of her friend’ and family’s deaths. She roared as loud as she could, not even wincing as the dragon smashed it’s tail right next to her left flank.
It growled angrily, taking a few steps backward. Suddenly, it started to grow a dark blue haze, then it created an energized shield around itself. The black dragon bowed her head, accepting her fate. A single tear dripped down her blood-stained face.
(camera backs out and only sees buildings)
The black sky finally gained color that morning, as a dark blue light shot across the darkened atmosphere, acting like millions of lightning bolts dancing across the sky. This is what everyone feared...this is what our hero failed to prevent...and now, all there is, is chaos.
The war has begun.[/b]
