Now, I don't like to sound smug or anything, nor do I like to do anymore work than the next person. But I have two small suggestions... well, one small one and one fair-sized one. ^^
The first is fairly basic. I've noticed that the main page of this forum is very very very long. It requires a lot of scrolling to get from the top to the bottom and back again, it's almost tiresome. X3 But it's not the number of boards that's the problem, it's the size of the on/off icons shown beside each board on the main page. They're so large that they are stretching the forum lengthwise. Might I politely suggest making them smaller, so they are not so obstructive?
That was the easy one. ;3
The second suggestion I have comes from the character creation forms and my own personal opinion (I will admit). I've joined this forum with the intention to play a very important character of mine created a few weeks ago. Since he is a very... unorthodox character, most forums don't even allow creatures like him and it's taken a long and tiresome search to find someplace that does (of which I am very grateful for). But, there's something you should know about my little Togorian: he's a dog. Not just any dog, a weird kind of ghost dog based off of the mythical "Black Shuck", a ghost dog haunting the hills of rural England.
The point I'm trying to get to is, he's a character. Just like any elf or mage or vampire. He feels, breathes, thinks and acts just like anyone. So, I really must honestly say that I was a little offended when I noticed that the "animal" character form is as short as it is. It doesn't require any sort of history and personality from Togo. o.O Only wants to know what he is and what he looks like. X3 So, what does that mean? Togo's not good enough to have a personality? Because he's an animal, he doesn't have a history? He hasn't been living an interesting life? Just because he's a dog and not a werewolf?
The bottom line is that I would suggest giving animals similar (if not the same) requirements as other characters. It's just as easy to powerplay a wolf as it is to powerplay a mage. ;3 I have a feeling some people will complain about this, since a longer form means more work when creating characters but I'm sure an extra paragraph or two won't kill them right?
Well, whether this suggestion is followed or not, I hope the admin doesn't mind if I add that stuff in anyway. ^^; Like I said, Togo is just as well developed as any of my human characters. Whether the form asks for one or not, he does in fact have a personality. X3

I'll take a look at the skins I did, which usually have the pictures at the sides. ^_^; I'll check it out, and find a smaller picture.
As for the animal idea? I totally agree with it. I'm a total animal lover; lived & grown up with animals my whole life. I've noticed that most forums do this, as well as my own animal forms on my sites. However, I do that to see if the member adds personality to it, or the history, or any extra fun facts for their animal; since that's what I do. It seems to impress anybody when I add on extras, but still, I agree with you 100% of the way. I'm glad somebody notices these things. ^_^
